With version 1.6, the VS series receives a substantial feature update: from new AI features to OPC UA and even performance improvements in visualization. Here are the most important changes:

The most important thing first!
The new VS Creator is not backward compatible. This means it is not possible to connect a VS Creator version 1.6 to a VS camera running version 1.5 or lower.
New Features & Changes
AI-Tools
A new feature is the Shared AI Training function – available in the AI Segmentation, AI Detection, and AI Classification tools. This makes it possible to share training data more efficiently
RobotVision
New correction values are available for two tools, which can further improve gripping accuracy.
Pick/Place Tool: Correction Amount (for Pick/Place Position)
Grip Shift Correction Tool: Correction Amount (for Capture Position)
System
OPC UA is now supported
It is now possible to configure the DNS server
Changes to the communication between camera and VS Creator improve stability
The refresh rate in the web browser and the Custom Screen Viewer has been accelerated
Touch panel calibration is now available for the CG-MU100 Display Expansion Unit
Bug Fixes
In addition to the new features, a wide range of issues have been resolved. A selection:
Stability issues in the AI tools (e.g. freezing in processing status, incorrect thumbnails, or errors when editing labels) have been fixed
Improvements to Custom Screen display: the view is now consistent between VS Creator and the browser, toolbar behavior has been adjusted, and various editing errors have been resolved
Performance improvements in trigger signals, autofocus (ZoomTrax), and capture times
Corrections in the Vision Dashboard function (e.g. MOD calculation, checkbox handling, IME input)
Communication fixes (CWN/CWS commands, SFTP messages)
