EVERY WELD SEAM IS AS UNIQUE AS A FINGERPRINT.

Optical, non-destructive inspection of weld seams is increasingly in demand thanks to modern technologies. While the requirements for such inspections are often the same, the weld seams themselves can vary greatly. Processes in welding methods such as laser welding, TIG welding, or MIG welding are often influenced by a wide range of parameters.

For example, handling the weld start point or the overall shape of the seam can be critical. With advanced technologies such as Keyence LJ-X and LJ-V laser triangulation sensors, we have successfully implemented inspections in numerous projects. In addition, dedicated algorithms can extract freeform surfaces to distinguish anomalies from normal variations. Typical tasks include volume measurement, pore detection, sink marks, as well as verifying the presence and position of the weld seam.
